How long are travel contracts with ASSI?
Our travel assignments are designed to suit a variety of career goals and personal needs.
We offer:
13-week contracts for short-term flexibility
24-week contracts for transitional or seasonal coverage
52-week contracts for long-term placement and career stability
What certifications do I need as a Surgical Technologist?
You must be certified through NBSTSA (CST) or NCCT (TS-C) to qualify for most travel and contract positions. Experience in a high-volume OR setting is typically preferred, and some facilities may require specialty instrumentation knowledge.
What are the requirements for RN travel assignments?
- An active RN license in the state where the assignment is located or a compact license
- A minimum of 2 years perioperative or OR experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (if required by facility)
- Specialty roles such as OR Charge Nurse or Perioperative Nurse Educator may require additional credentials like CNOR.
Do sterile processing travel staff need special licenses or certifications?
Yes. All sterile processing professionals must hold a national certification such as CRCST or a CBSPD equivalent. Depending on your role, additional certifications such as CIS, CER, or CHL may be required or preferred. Our onboarding team will guide you through any additional credentialing needed based on your placement.
